Once complete, the $1.2 billion Napanee Generating Station will be capable of producing 900 megawatts of reliable electricity to the people of Ontario. This state-of-the-art plant was designed with the ability to start and stop daily, which means it can vary its output to meet demand. The plant is being built in the Town of Greater Napanee and is expected to contribute roughly $8.4 million a year in direct economic activity to the community.
