Overview

Established in 2004, Cartier Wind Energy is a partnership between TransCanada and Innergex Renewable Energy. The partnership currently operates five facilities – Baie-des-Sables, L’anse-à-Valleau, Carleton, Gros-Morne-Sainte Madelaine and Montagne Sèche. Across the board, the Cartier operation is committed to generating sustainable, green energy for Quebec families and supporting the economy of the region.

$3.5 million for local communities

In addition to boosting the economy of Quebec’s Bas-Saint Laurent region, through the Cartier Wind Energy Visibility Fund, our company will contribute more than $3.5 million to local communities of for municipal use.

 

 

Creating full-time jobs in the Gaspé Peninsula

With more than 50 full-time employees, Cartier Wind Energy staff contribute greatly to the prosperity of the communities of Baie-des-Sables (population 609) and Métis-sur-Mer (population 607).
