Reaping the rewards of a quality internship

Madison Heeg, a sophomore in electrical engineering at the Colorado School of Mines, recently worked as a quality assurance intern in our Houston office. She gained valuable work experience, broadened her knowledge of the industry, and developed strong connections and friendships.


Co-op student gains more than technical skills

After a 16-month Co-op student experience, Meghann Grenier recently returned to Queen’s University in Ontario to complete her mechanical engineering degree. Drawn to TransCanada because the size of the company, she discovered her opportunities were big too.


Engineer-in-training program provides ‘invaluable’ experiences

TransCanada currently employs approximately 170 EITs across all lines of business in the U.S. and Canada. The EIT program offers a wide range of opportunities to get hands-on experience and build a rewarding career.

TransCanada's Co-operative Education and Internship Program is available to post-secondary students enrolled in an academically accredited co-op or internship program. Positions are available year-round, with work terms ranging from four to 16 months.

  • Professional licensure support

As an EIT, you are considered a full-time TransCanada employee. This means you’re eligible to participate in our Total Rewards package.

EITs are typically hired each September, with additional opportunities available throughout the year.
