TUSCARORA GAS TRANSMISSION

Tuscarora Gas Transmission Company, principally owned by TransCanada subsidiary TC Pipelines LP, is a 240-mile, 20-inch-diameter interstate natural gas pipeline serving customers in Nevada and northwestern California. Tuscarora’s six laterals add another 63 miles of pipeline, bringing the system’s total to 303 miles.

The pipeline has subscribed capacity of 223,000 dekatherms a day (Dth/d), and its customers include utilities, electric generators, municipalities, casinos, and industrial facilities.

Constructed and placed into service in 1995, Tuscarora extends from an interconnection with TransCanada GTN System near Malin, Oregon, to its terminus near Wadsworth, Nevada, where it interconnects with Paiute Pipeline Company.

Tuscarora is regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. It is a Nevada general partnership with two general partners: TC Tuscarora Intermediate Limited Partnership (a direct subsidiary of TC Pipelines LP, which owns or controls a 99 percent general partner interest) and TCPL Tuscarora Ltd., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of TransCanada, which holds the remaining one percent general partner interest.

Tuscarora’s six laterals include the Malin Lateral, the Susanville Lateral, the Herlong Lateral, the Empire/US Gypsum Lateral, the Hungry Valley Lateral, and the Tracy Lateral.
