Relationships That Count

At TransCanada, our goal is to develop and maintain positive relationships with our stakeholders.

Stakeholders include our employees, shareholders, customers, community residents, landowners, Aboriginal peoples, regulators, environmental organizations, industry peers, partners, suppliers, and many others. By treating these people respectfully, we build the foundation needed to attract and retain good employees, successfully plan and develop new projects, and help sustain broadly based community initiatives for positive social change.

"Our goal is to develop and maintain positive relationships with our stakeholders."

There are four main ways in which we engage our stakeholders, which cut across all parts of the company and all geographical regions in which we operate. These are consulting with stakeholders, providing a rewarding and respectful workplace, ensuring the well-being of our employees and others with whom we come into contact, and investing in the communities where we live and work. Engaging our stakeholders is done with a view toward public safety and providing reliable infrastructure that is necessary to move natural gas and electricity.
