TransCanada’s 100 per cent owned natural gas transmission system extends 201 km from Alberta’s western border through B.C. to connect with the Gas Transmission Northwest System at the U.S. border, serving markets in B.C. as well as the Pacific Northwest, California and Nevada.
Annual deliveries of natural gas on the BC System totaled 360 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in 2004, compared to deliveries of 325 Bcf in 2003. The BC System is regulated by the National Energy Board (NEB).
