Trans-Quebec and Maritimes Pipeline

Connecting from TransCanada’s Canadian Mainline, the Trans Québec & Maritimes Pipeline (TQM), 50 per cent owned by TransCanada and 50 per cent by Gaz Metro, connects the Montreal to Québec City corridor. The TQM pipeline also continues to the Portland Natural Gas Transmission System at the Québec/New Hampshire border – feeding industrial and electric-power plant needs in the New England states.

TQM is part of TransCanada's network of 60,000 km (37,000 miles) of wholly owned and 7,900 km (4,900 miles) of partially owned pipelines connecting major supply basins with major markets all across North America. TransCanada is one of the continent’s largest providers of gas storage and related services with approximately 380 Bcf of storage capacity – that’s the second largest in North America. In total, TransCanada delivers approximately 20 per cent of the natural gas consumed in North America each day.
