On Sept. 18, 2007, TransCanada submitted a proposal to Hydro-Québec Distribution for numerous wind energy projects in response to the call for tenders for 2,000 MW of wind generated electricity. On May 5, 2008 TransCanada learned we have not been awarded any wind projects. 

This is disappointing news for TransCanada. Since August 2005 we have undertaken extensive field studies and wind assessments. Over the past two years we have met cooperatively with hundreds of landowners, municipalities, community associations and other interested stakeholders to develop our wind project proposals.
