TransCanada’s Canadian Mainline offers various natural gas transportation and hub services to help you arrange for your natural gas needs. On the following pages you’ll find an overview of each service, and the benefits to you and your business.

Why should you hold transportation service directly with TransCanada?

    2. The transportation of natural gas to your natural gas distributor is a key factor in determining how gas supply is made available to your market. If natural gas is an important feedstock or fuel to you, then don’t let others do it for you – control your own transportation access.
  2. Protection

    3. TransCanada’s services and tolling are regulated by the National Energy Board (NEB). We are required by the NEB to be consistent and fair in the services we offer, and the tolls that we charge - your extra level of protection.

  3. Easy to Use

    4. We are easy to do business with. We have a Call Centre to assist you, open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM MST every day. And you are connected to a person, not an answering machine.

    If you would rather have an agent handle your contract operations – we are happy to work with your agent.

    Also, you do not have to balance between actual receipts and deliveries and nominations on our System – we bill based on your nominations.
  4. Flexibility

    5. Our long term Firm Transportation (FT) service has an unparalleled choice of service options to give you the flexibility that you need.

    Our discretionary services (short term firm, interruptible, parking and loans, title transfer, firm and interruptible backhaul, and capacity release and enhanced capacity release on long haul FT) are all available under umbrella contracts. Put these in place now, pay only when you use the service.

    6. We have over 40 years of proven service. Our state-of-the-art pipeline systems links the rich natural gas resources of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin to markets across Canada and the United States.
