TransCanada’s Alberta System offers various natural gas transportation services to help you arrange for your natural gas needs. On the following pages you’ll find an overview of each service, and the benefits to you and your business.

    2. The transportation of natural gas to your market of choice is provided by an Alberta System account. With an Alberta System account you have direct access to several major downstream pipelines that will allow you to market your gas to most of the major markets in Canada and the United States. There are numerous storage facilities connected to the Alberta System providing injection and withdrawal storage capabilities greater than 200 Bcf.

    3. TransCanada’s services and tolling are regulated by the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB). We are required by the EUB to be consistent and fair in the services we offer, and the tolls that we charge - your extra level of protection.

    4. We are easy to do business with. We have a Call Centre to assist you open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM MT every day. And you are connected to a person, not an answering machine.

    If you would rather have an agent handle your contract operations – we are happy to work with your agent.

    We have industry leading balancing and tolerance provisions to help you manage your Alberta System account fairly and effectively.

    5. Our long term Firm Transportation (FT) service has an unparalleled choice of service options to give you the flexibility that you need.

    6. We have over 40 years of proven service. Our state-of-the-art pipeline systems links the rich natural gas resources of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin to markets across Canada and the United States.

    Our Firm Transportation - Receipt (FT-R) and our Firm Transportation - Delivery (FT-D) service is very reliable and Interruptible Transportation - Receipt (IT-R) service has been available more than 95% of the time.
