Alberta System 2007 Interim Rate Application

 

NGTL, TransCanada’s legal entity that owns the Alberta System, filed a 2007 Interim Rate Application with the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) requesting the following interim rates for the Alberta System, effective January 1, 2007.

1.      Based on the Average FT-R Rate for a three-year term.  Receipt Point Specific FT-R rates will vary between the floor rate and ceiling rate, as well as due to the contract term selected.

2.      Per EUB Decision 2006-010, effective November 1, 2006 export delivery services are contracted for and charged in energy.  For rate calculation purposes, export delivery contracts are converted to volume using a system average heat value of 37.8 MJ/m3.

3.      FT Ex-Alberta Rate is calculated using the Average FT-R Rate for a three-year term and the FT-D Rate.
