On June 24, the Alberta
Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) approved the TransCanada
Alberta System's (NGTL) 2003 revenue requirement and tariff
application settlements in Decision 2003-051. TransCanada
is pleased with the EUB's decision. The settlements resulted
from a consultative process that included producers, industrial
users, consumer groups, marketers, and export groups.
The settlements represent a balance of interests of the
stakeholders who participated. We appreciate the efforts
and commitment of our customers throughout the negotiation
process.
As directed by the EUB, we will make an application
for approval of final rates that reflects the EUB approval
of the settlements prior to October 1, 2003.
