A new Web site has
been launched to provide information on the Mackenzie
Gas Project. This site at www.mackenziegasproject.com
provides details on the project, including the proposed
Mackenzie Valley Pipeline.
The Mackenzie Gas Project is being proposed by Imperial
Oil Resources Ventures Limited, the Aboriginal Pipeline
Group (APG), ConocoPhillips Canada (North) Limited,
Shell Canada Limited and ExxonMobil Canada Properties.
The proposed project is looking to develop natural gas
fields in the Mackenzie Delta of Canada's Northwest
Territories and deliver the natural gas to markets through
a pipeline system built along the Mackenzie Valley.
TransCanada has agreed to lend funds to the APG for
its share of the project definition phase costs in the
Mackenzie project. In return, TransCanada has various
opportunities to become part of the pipeline project
should it go forward. And the pipeline system would
connect with TransCanada's current facilities in northern
Alberta. For more information about this funding you
can look at the news
release sent in June, which is included in the What's
New section of the new Web site.
