> Don Bell: An Eastern Focus

TransCanada welcomes Don Bell in his new role as Director, Commercial East of the Canadian Pipelines division.  In this role, Don is responsible for the Toronto office, including eastern customer interface, relationships, as well as contracts and negotiations for the Canadian Mainline.

In Don’s most recent role at TransCanada as Director of LNG Gas Development, he was responsible for negotiating all commercial terms and agreements underpinning the business fundamentals of these projects and for providing commercial advice to LNG project teams.

Don’s experience in customer relations and sales and marketing is instrumental in developing relationships in our Eastern Canadian market.  In the past, Don led the Commercial Sales and Marketing team on Western Markets.  Although the geography in the West is different than the East, the market needs of End Users, Power, etc. are very alike.

“I’m excited to be in the market and to connect with our customers," says Don. "I look forward to applying my knowledge and experience in Sales and Marketing as well as LNG to the supply / demand market conditions on the Canadian Mainline System."

In addition to his customer experience, Don has many years of technical operations, planning and international experience.  He has held positions in gas development, information systems, gas control, gas measurement, gas supply, gas accounting, field maintenance, operations and system planning, and contracting.  He also has six years of international experience working in the joint venture company Transportadora de Gas del Norte (TGN) while living in Argentina.

For more information, please contact Don directly at 416.869.2191.
