> Automated Phone Notification Service

The Automated Phone Notification system is an outbound calling service that was implemented to enable TransCanada to directly contact a large number of customers simultaneously when system or operational upsets occur.

The notifications are primarily used for emergencies and other high-impact events, such as tolerance changes and border restrictions. When a significant event occurs, a recorded voice message is automatically sent to customers who have requested to receive this phone notification service. This service augments the notifications already being sent through the NrG bulletin service.

“This service enables us to send important messages to customers quickly and effectively and is a great complement to the NrG services already provided,” says Marlene Proctor, Supervisor, Nominations, Customer Service. “This initiative helps improve both efficiency and effectiveness of our communications. In today’s fast-paced market, the quicker we can get information to a customer the better.”

Customers must sign up to receive the Automated Phone Notification service. For more information or to sign up for the service, phone our Call Centre at 403.920.PIPE (7473).
