TransCanada welcomes Wendy Simpson in her new role as Manager, Commercial East of the Canadian Pipelines division. In this new role, Wendy will be responsible for the management of customer relationships for our Calgary and western-based Canadian Mainline customers as well as management of the open season process for Canadian Mainline capacity sales. She will also help to manage TransCanada's interest in the Trans Quebec and Maritimes Pipelines Inc. (TQM). Wendy will be reporting to Steve Pohlod, Vice-President, Commercial East of the Canadian Pipelines division.

Recognizing that customers have very different needs, Wendy strives to develop a strong understanding of our customer's business to provide value by delivering cost effective and flexible solutions. Wendy's wealth of experience, holding key customer relationship positions within TransCanada, will serve her well in her new role.

Wendy has a rich history with TransCanada and has worked with the producer community and end-users to optimize value since 1987. In her most recent role as Manager, Collaborative Process and Product Development, Wendy was instrumental in facilitating TransCanada's Mainline multi-party collaborative process among a wide variety of stakeholders. Wendy was successful in facilitating negotiations and reaching consensus among stakeholders that often had conflicting or competing interests resulting in record levels of supported issue resolution and an alignment of interests through win / win rate settlements. She was also instrumental in developing new services, such as FT-NR and the Energy Deficient Gas Allowance Service, as well as service enhancements to evolve existing services.
Previous to this role, Wendy held several key customer service positions within TransCanada and has been instrumental in building day-to-day customer relationships.
