On May 12, 2005, Max Feldman, Vice President, Gas Transmission West, presented to the BC Gas Symposium. His presentation, titled The Alberta Hub: A Great Market for British Columbia Natural Gas, focused on the following key messages:
- Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) production remains stable and supply from BC will remain a key growth area for the WCSB
- The Alberta Hub, facilitated by TransCanada's NOVA Inventory Transfer [NIT], provides a great market for British Columbia gas
- TransCanada continues to improve Alberta System economics and develop services to better connect supply and improve market access
