TransCanada recently announced some organizational changes that affect the commercial areas of our Pipelines division. These changes are due, in part, to the acquisition of ANR and Great Lakes Gas Transmission (GLGT) by TransCanada, which closed on February 22, 2007 and required significant changes to our U.S. Pipelines organization. These changes were recently announced in a letter from Max Feldman.
The following information is additional to the announcement:
John Van der Put is appointed to Vice-President, Market Development. John's area is responsible for planning and developing new services, rate design and marketing for the Canadian pipelines, and the macro gas supply and market analysis functions. A profile of John can be found in this issue of Update magazine.
Dave Schultz is appointed Director, System Design with responsibility for planning and design of TransCanada's Canadian pipeline facilities. Most recently, Dave was Manager - Supply for the Commercial West Team.
Dave Murray will be joining the Canadian Pipelines team effective July 1 in the role of Manager – Supply, Commercial West. Dave has 16 years of pipeline experience with TransCanada in several areas: regulatory services, corporate strategy, system design and operations, business development and investment management, and rate design.
Tim Gibson is appointed Director, Commercial Operations with responsibility for gas control, operations planning and short-term commercial/customer transactions. Most recently, he was Manager, Gas Control. Tim has been with TransCanada since 1981.
These four leaders will join the talented team which continues to provide effective leadership in understanding customer needs, building relationships, and delivering reliable service. You can see the revised organizational charts that reflect these changes on the Customer Express website.
