> Customer Request Prompts New CSV Report

The Mainline Billing and Customer Operational Reporting (COR) team has improved our e-billing reporting in direct response to customer’s requests. A new report is now available that provides the Mainline invoice in a downloadable CSV format and allows customers to upload the data directly into their systems.

"These improvements were made to address feedback that too much time was being spent re-keying data," says Barbara Miles, Manager, Billings & Contracts. "We worked collaboratively on developing and testing a solution to address this. This new downloadable CSV format has turned out to be a big benefit for them by saving time and improving accuracy. And that’s something all customers can benefit from.”

The new downloadable CSV format will also assist in customers internal analysis and reporting as well providing information used for some Government reporting. The report is now available in COR reporting with the May invoices.  For historical data, customers also have the ability to go back for the past 13 months and use this format.

This e-billing report, and the other e-billing options, offers several other advantages:

  • Minimizes data capture errors
  • Reduces costs for printing and paper requirements
  • Numerous people can have access, reducing the need for paper re-distribution within an organization
  • Email notification is available to inform you when the invoices are online
  • E-bills are available one day earlier than paper invoices

To access the e-billing system or for any technical questions, contact The Pipe Line at 877.920.PIPE (7473). For questions on Mainline invoices, contact Randy Pattison at 920-5841 or Joan Craig at 920-5521.
