> NBPL Integration Underway

Work is progressing on integrating Northern Border Pipeline Company’s (NBPL) operations when TransCanada assumes operations in early 2007.

To date, the focus has been on developing the operating model and making resourcing decisions, the most recent being the appointment of key leadership roles at NBPL, which will take effect when TransCanada begins operating the pipeline.

  • Paul F. Miller, Vice President and General Manager, NBPL, will report to Craig Frew, Vice President, U.S. Pipelines. Paul currently is President, Viking, Midwestern and Guardian pipelines for ONEOK Partners, L.P.

  • Patricia Wiederholt, Controller, NBPL, will report to Amy Leong, Director, Gas Transmission Accounting. Patricia currently is Partnership Controller, ONEOK Partners GP, L.L.C.

  • Jim Krause, Director, Field Operations, NBPL, will continue to report to Jim Baggs, Vice President, Field Operations and Engineering. Jim Krause currently is Director, Field Operations – Central Region, TransCanada.

“Paul, Patricia, and Jim will be instrumental in finalizing the organization structure and resourcing for NBPL over the coming weeks, as well as helping to ensure a smooth transition of the operatorship of the pipeline,” says Craig Frew, Vice President, U.S. Pipelines. “Our goal is to continue to provide high quality service to customers and operate this asset safely and reliably.”

TransCanada plans to maintain a significant presence in Omaha and field locations when it assumes operatorship. Working group team members are partnering with their counterparts at Northern Border to integrate operations, systems and functions over the coming months.
