TransCanada was inducted as a charter member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Natural Gas STAR International program in a ceremony held in Washington, D.C. late in 2006.

The program recognizes and assists companies in the oil and gas industry that implement cost-effective practices and technologies that reduce methane emissions. TransCanada’s efforts to reduce gas emissions, including the introduction of a leading edge Air Emissions Data Management System, are featured in the most recent issue of the EPA Natural Gas STAR Partner Update newsletter.
