TransCanada Second Quarter 2006 Teleconference and Webcast Advisory
CALGARY, Alberta – July 18, 2006 – (TSX: TRP) (NYSE: TRP) – TransCanada Corporation will release its second quarter 2006 financial results mid-day Thursday, July 27, 2006.
Analysts, members of the media and other interested parties are invited to participate in a teleconference and webcast July 27 at 2 p.m. (Mountain) / 4 p.m. (Eastern) to discuss the second quarter 2006 financial results, and general developments and issues concerning the company.

As a result of changes to the company’s executive team, effective June 1, 2006, the composition and names of the company’s reportable segments have been realigned to that of the internal organization. The revised segments are Pipelines and Energy. Pipelines includes the company’s natural gas and oil pipelines in Canada, the United States and Mexico. Energy includes the company’s power operations, natural gas storage and liquefied natural gas businesses.
